The Advanced Deception Pass clinic offers seasoned kayakers an opportunity to refine their skills in challenging conditions while navigating one of Washington State's most dynamic waterways. Participants skills will be challenged through exercises in strong tidal flow including crossing strong eddylines, paddling in the presence of whirlpools, crossing channels, and playing on any features that are present. Progressing your rough water skills and having fun are the main goals of this course!
The clinic incorporates real-time assessments and feedback to enhance decision-making and situational awareness, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental influences on paddling dynamics.
