Return & Exchange Policy

At Body Boat Blade, we stand behind the gear we sell and want you to be confident in your purchase. Because we specialize in technical paddling equipment and safety gear, the following policy helps ensure fairness, hygiene, and safety for all customers.

Returns & Exchanges (New, Unused Items)

  • New, unused items may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase.

  • Items must be:

    • In original condition

    • Unused and unaltered

    • With original tags and packaging

    • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

  • Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Exchanges & Store Credit

  • After 14 days (up to 30 days), unused items may be eligible for store credit only, at our discretion.

  • Store credit does not expire and may be used toward retail purchases, courses, or services.

Final Sale Items

The following items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Used or worn gear

  • Clearance or discounted items

  • Custom or special-order items

  • Safety equipment that has been used or fitted, including:

    • PFDs

    • Helmets

    • Skirts

    • Wetsuits / drysuits

    • Base layers

Safety Gear Fit & Trade-In Policy

Because proper fit and safety are critical:

  • We strongly encourage in-store fitting for PFDs and other safety gear.

  • If you purchase a PFD from Body Boat Blade and later need a different size or model:

    • Lightly used PFDs may be eligible for store trade-in credit, typically 40–60% of original retail value, based on condition and age.

    • Trade-in credit may be applied toward a new PFD purchased from us.

    • Trade-ins are accepted at staff discretion.

Defective or Damaged Items

  • Manufacturing defects will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

  • Please contact us promptly so we can assess the item and work with the manufacturer if applicable.

  • Normal wear, misuse, or damage from paddling conditions is not considered a defect.

Courses, Clinics & Services

  • Retail return policies do not apply to courses, clinics, or instruction.

  • Course cancellation and refund policies are outlined separately at the time of registration.
