The Learning Track
The Learning Track indicates recommended courses at Body Boat Blade to help you gain skills for successful assessments.

The Learning Progression
The Learning Progression indicates the pathway the listed course intends to move you towards.

Panic-free Wet Exit
A panic-free wet exit describes the ability for a paddler, when upside down in their boat, to stay calm for several seconds while performing some task (e.g. thinking), and then finding the grab loop and coming up for air.

Comfortable with Water
Someone who is comfortable with water can do a forward somersault in a pool, can swim, is not fearful of being in deepwater or having their face in the water, and is confident that if they capsized in a kayak they would remain calm enough to pull the grab loop of their spray deck to wet exit. If this does not describe who you are, then consider the Wet Exit class or the First Time Paddler class.
