BCU Training & Assessment
The British Canoe Union (BCU) is the most recognized and respected paddle sport coaching and awarding system in the world. All of Body Boat Blade's Coaches are trained and certified in the BCU and work within the remits of their awards, if you have taken any class from a Body Boat Blade coach you have already been exposed to the BCU. If you are an open minded learner who likes challenges the BCU will accelerate your mastery of this great sport.
Star Award Assessments
Assessments measure your abilities at different levels of your development. Assessments help students set goals, gain clear understanding of skill sets to either reinforce or improve upon. Assessments also motivate practice, accelerate learning, and allow matching paddlers with similar skills to courses. Body Boat Blade has one of the most skilled and highest rated assessing teams in North America. We can assess the Star and Coaching Awards listed below.

Prerequisites: BCU 3 Star Award, Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning course,18 hours formal Coastal Leadership Training, First Aid/CPR certified, documented evidence of a variety of coastal trips and experience.

Prerequisites: BCU 4 Star Award, First Aid/CPR certificate, Open Water Coastal Navigation Course, documented evidence of a minimum of 20 varied, quality, advanced sea condition trips in at least 3 different sea areas.

How To Register
Contact Body Boat Blade with the names and dates of the classes/trips you would like to register for. We can answer all of your questions, talk about class/trip prerequisites and requirements, and get you signed up!
Payment
Body Boat Blade accepts payment with VISA, MasterCard, cash (US only), and checks.
A deposit of 1/2 the class fee is due at the time of registration with the balance due at the time of the class.
Cancelation Policy
You can cancel and receive a full refund, minus a $25.00 office fee, if you cancel 30 days prior to the class date. You will not receive a refund if you cancel less than 30 days prior of the class date, unless we can fill your spot, in which case you get a full refund minus the $25.00 office fee.
